MISSION STATEMENT
Flossmoor Service League is a volunteer organization with a mission to assist others in need, particularly in helping to provide basic human services through not-for-profit organizations based in the south suburbs. The organization consists of philanthropic and passionate women who host fundraising events and participate in community service initiatives to benefit those in need.
Member Responsibilities

Plan and support two major fundraisers: December Candlelight Ball and May
Housewalk, as well as other minor fundraisers such as Light up the Night in December

Engage with and be involved in charitable activities of our grant recipients, eg:
volunteering at holiday family events, serving food at special events, etc...

Attend monthly league meetings, in person or virtually

Connect, build relationships, and have fun with other wonderful women socially
and through service

Want to join, but don’t have the ability to attend monthly meetings? Consider our
Supporting Membership tier.

What is a Supporting Member?
Supporting Members are those who are unable to attend monthly meetings, but still want to
support the mission and vision of the FSL. Members in this tier do not have voting rights and
cannot hold an office or chair a commission, but are expected to support all League activities and
events through financial contribution and/or personal engagement.
